The ISO 9001:2008 Certification, the latest iteration in the 9000 Certification series from the International Organization for Standardization, sets standards that individual businesses can meet in order to ensure customer satisfaction. According to the ISO website (www.iso.org), the 9000 family of standards represents “an international consensus on good quality management practices.”  The ISO 9001:2008 program in particular provides a tested framework for applying a systematic approach to managing an organization’s processes to ensure they consistently result in product that meets customers’ expectations.
